Virtual real estate is the term commonly given to the act of having websites online that you own and receive an income from. That income could be a few pounds a week or as much as a significant sum every single day. But however much you earn from this business, the more sites that you own the more likely you are to have a greater income as a result.

For a start you build up your piece of the internet one site at a time. And with each new site that you create you can put into practice the lessons you have learned from building the previous ones. Most sites are very easy to build now. For example, many websites use Wordpress to create an attractive and easy to navigate site for visitors to use. Most people can figure out how to create a Wordpress site without even having to read any manuals about it � it�s that easy.
The bigger task is arguably figuring out which subjects to build your sites around. You need popular subjects that will still hopefully be just as popular in several years from now. But at the same time it pays to narrow your focus enough to enable you to pick a topic that people will want to know about and find more information on.
The key to making money from such a site is by having business adverts on it that people will want to click on. Google Adsense ads are the best example of this, and you will see them on many different websites. It is relatively easy to apply for an account and put the ads on your site; they must match up to the content you have written about on the site. For example if you write about football the ads on your site will also be on football topics. This maximises your chances of getting a good number of clicks on the ads � and each click will earn you some money.
Obviously you won�t become a millionaire from this type of home business overnight. But there are people out there who manage to make a lot of money doing this � creating sites and updating them regularly to produce a good return on the time they have spent making them.
The idea is to keep on creating these new sites regularly. You won�t make a lot of money from just one site, but there is no doubt that if you keep on creating them you will start earning lots of small amounts from every site that you have. Four figure sums each month are possible, but even if you aim for three figures it will obviously make a big difference to your life.
