Lamination is a great way of protecting important documents and having the right accessories can make the process more satisfying. Here are five accessories you should think of adding to your office product arsenal.

1. GBC Zippy Knives. These are great tools to have on hand if you need to trim your laminated documents. They're both easy and safe to use with a blade that's securely placed in a plastic handle. You can use them on any laminated document, as well as other items including plain paper, cardstock, fabric, and more. You can even use them to cut documents that are still sitting on the laminator. They come in assorted colors (green, orange, etc.) and are priced affordably so you can have several around for everyone to use.

2. Pouch carriers. Just about every box of laminating pouches comes with a carrier, but like any other office items, carriers can get lost. They're necessary when using a pouch laminator because the carrier prevents the machine's gears and rollers from getting gummed up with adhesive. Therefore, having extra carriers on hand can be a good idea, especially since they can be purchased individually and are available in many different sizes. That way your machine will stay clean and you won't need to purchase pouches when you don't need them just to get a carrier.

3. Roll laminator cleaning kit. Keeping your roll laminator in good working order is important and cleaning is the best way to ensure your device will stay in good shape. This kit has everything you need to clean your machine including a 13-ounce can of foam cleaner and both foam and abrasive pads to remove the adhesive from your device's rollers and heat shoes. The kit is compatible with most roll laminators including ones manufactured by GBC and Tamerica.

4. Tamerica Stapler-Style Slot Puncher. A slot puncher makes it possible for you to punch holes in your laminated luggage tags, ID badges, and more. This device from Tamerica is one of the best available. It has an adjustable guide to help you center your object for perfect punching. This is a compact slot puncher and is affordably priced.

5. DryLam Metal 29" Mobile Laminator Cart. Laminators can be large machines and finding room for one can be challenging. A laminator cart can be a solution to this problem and one that's worth a look is this particular cart from DryLam. It's large enough to accommodate laminators that are as wide as 27 inches. (It would even be used to store a fax machine, photocopier, or printer.) This cart has a cabinet that locks and has casters for easier mobility. It's made of steel for incredible durability

This is just a sampling of what's available for your laminator. Stocking up on accessories can make your projects more pleasant and less time-consuming. They can also help you save room in your office and keep your machine clean. So get some today and see how much more productive you can be.
