Every single organ in our body is made with very important functions. Every single one of them works interdependently with all other organs. Meaning, one organ functions in accordance with the other. If one organ functions the way it is supposed to function, then the other organs will surely follow suit, unless a certain medical condition really directly hits a particular organ. In this article, you will know all about a certain condition called the adrenal fatigue syndrome, all its sign and symptoms, and how you can manage it well.
First, you have to have an idea on what the adrenals are and what are their functions. The adrenal glands are situated sitting atop the kidneys. Their main function is endocrine in nature. Meaning they make and produce certain hormones that are needed for our body to function in the most normal way possible. The adrenal glands are divided into two compartments, and they are called as the adrenal cortex and the adrenal medulla. The adrenal cortex is the outer part of the adrenal gland. It mainly produces the hormones namely cortisol which is also known as the hydrocortisone, aldosterone, and androgens. Let us explain the importance of each hormone first. Cortisol is a hormone which acts as a steroid. It suppresses the immune system in times when certain inflammation or allergic reactions occur. Cortisol also plays a big role in the conversion of glucose into its usable form so that it can be used immediately by the body in case it is needed. Aldosterone is the hormone responsible for water regulation within the body. It is the one responsible for the increase in the blood volume within the body. Last but not the least is the androgen. This is the hormone responsible for the development of the male characteristics.
The second compartment of the adrenal gland is the medulla. In here, it also produces two hormones that are equally important to the ones that were mentioned above. In here, the hormones epinephrine and norepinephrine are produced. These two hormones are very important because they are part of the sympathetic nervous system. They are responsible for responses such as the contraction of blood vessels, dilation of airway passages, and more.
If the adrenal glands are not functioning properly this is what you call an adrenal fatigue syndrome. It is a syndrome because it consists of various signs and symptoms. You can then already anticipate the fact that the hormones mentioned above will have low levels. You will have weakness, low blood sugar, low blood pressure, decrease in sexual appetite, nausea, and less defense against infections. So can you just imagine what would happen to you if your adrenal glands will have a malfunction? You will not be able to go on with life normally. That is why it is very important to have an early detection, because bear in mind that no one is exempted from having an adrenal fatigue syndrome.
Support your adrenal glands with an adrenal complex. If you suspect you suffer from an overworked adrenal gland, then a adrenal complex will help restore the adrenal gland to proper functioning. Living a fast and stressful lifestyle will overwork the adrenal glands, limiting stress along with an adrenal complex will help restore your body to good health.
