The move to be more green is big these days with everyone looking for new ways to make their home and entertainment choices more environmentally friendly.

While you may think of the things you do inside the house, such as turn the lights off when you leave a room, there are also a number of things you can do outside to help lessen your carbon footprint.

Whats in your backyard? Those patio chairs and tables you have are breaking down and need to be replaced. Making a decision of what patio chairs and tables to replace them with is a decision that also will make an effect on what type of environmental impact you will have.

Do you know about the recycled patio chairs and tables market? When you think about recycling you may think about doing your part by making sure your old aluminum cans and plastic bottles are out at the curb on days when the recycling trucks goes by. But, that recycled plastic also takes on a new life as many things, including patio chairs and tables.

By buying recycled patio chairs and tables you are going to accomplish two things. First, you are purchasing something that has been made out of recycled items. That means fewer new resources having to be used in the creation of the patio chairs and tables. Secondly, by buying recycled patio chairs and tables you are supporting the recycling industry and showing them there are consumers out there that will put their money behind the idea of making old items new again.

If you are new to the recycled patio chairs and tables market, there are plenty of places to get help. First, you need to know what kind of recycled patio chairs and tables you want in your yard. You may want to do a little bit of a field trip for this. Look up stores and parks that are using recycled patio chairs and tables and look at and feel these items. Many of these pieces look like they are lumber or stone, even though they are really just old plastic bottles given a new life.

After you look through enough of these recycled patio chairs and tables, you will find that there are many other options of going green in your backyard.

Obviously, by planting plants, you are offering more green in your yard. But, think about all the things related to this part of your yard. What are your planters made of? Even they can be made of recycled materials, expanding your positive environmental impact. You can even find planters that will go well with your recycled patio chairs and tables to create a cohesive appearance to the outdoor area.

If you enjoy the green areas of your backyard, why not add to your appreciation of green, by giving back to the environment. As soon as you decide to purchase recycled patio chairs and tables instead of those made from new materials, you have made a major step towards lessening your carbon footprint.
