Gran-Canaria airport is one of the biggest airports in Spain and reportedly is the fifth busiest one. The airport manages major flights to other European countries and international flights too. It is situated on the Gran Canaria Island. It is renowned for their lengthy runway which is sometimes used by NASA space shuttles for proper landing. The airport has only one terminal and it is divided into three floors. The airport offers a lot of facilities and every thing is organized with high technological services. However, there is a lot of misconception about car hire Gran-Canaria airport section. Many people are unaware of the car stands and car hire section in the airport.
The airport is attached with ground transportation which facilitates more convenience to the passengers. The Airport is the best user friendly airport. It is easy to get to the airport from all corners in the island. Taxi facilities are considered to be the best as the Gran Canaria Island has its own taxi services with low fares. The taxi stand is just positioned outside the arrivals zone of all three sections. There are three car rental inquiry stands for each European arrivals, international arrivals, and island arrivals.
Hire Car at Gran-Canaria Airport is very cheap because the taxi fares are low which also affects the car rental services. The rate for an ordinary SUV like Ford KA is 17, 60� per day and it can go up to 67, 50� for a high class SUV. The hire rates for sedan also varies according to the class and it starts from 14, 20� for a lower range sedan. Hatchbacks are also available but it is not frequently hired by tourists. Gran Canaria Island is regarded as the isle of beauty and tourism facilities out here is of top notch class as tourism is one of the biggest industries.
A tourist can contact the car rental agencies from the airport itself. The airport provides a lot of facilities to international and European passengers. As said earlier the arrivals sections are divided in three arrivals, devoted for every kind of passengers. And a devoted group of airport employs work on the hire stand to provide proper hire service from the airport. As we know a tourist are soft targets fro car hire agencies so, as a tourist it is recommended to look for the taxi or car hire stand at the airport itself.
It should be known that the charges and the fair vary form part of the island to another. In fact, the hire rates and fair at the airport remains one of the cheapest. So, as a tourist or a local person it is suggested that you should take the services from the airport itself.
