The fact that we as a society are trying to become more natural is actually a good thing. However, with our natural tendencies, many people are claiming that good old fashion prescriptions are the way to go when it comes to curing certain normalitys of life such as acne. However, that just simply isnt the case. Although there is certainly no permanent cure to acne there are honest and safe alternatives to the endless use of drugs found both over the counter and in doctors offices.

Not only do these over the counter medications and prescriptions cause nasty side effects but they are much more expensive and tend not to work over a long period of time. The reason doctors think that there are no natural cures is because they have other reasons for wanting you to come get your prescription medication from them. First, most dermatologists do not even know what the real cause of acne is. That may seem farfetched but it is actually true. They are familiar with the symptoms of acne and they can deal with the skin acne because it is on the surface and that is their job, but many cannot tell you what the conditions are that cause it. So, basically what you get is a treatment to handle the surface acne that never actually addresses the problem of acne.

Secondly, doctors work in conjunction with many drug and pharmaceutical companies so they are just not motivated to discover a cure for acne because they are making huge money by giving you a prescription for their particular drug of choice. They are more involved in the profit of acne, as are the over the counter drug products. They know that acne will always exist if people believe there is no actual cure for acne. Again, there doesnt seem to be a cure for acne yet, but there are ways that you can deal with acne naturally without the use of so many of these prescriptions and medications. Taking mediation or using topical creams will just deal with the symptoms of the acne and not the source or cause of the acne.

When someone who has acne starts a prescription acne treatment they become reliant on the drug itself and do not feel that they have to make any changes to their diet or lifestyle. This is simply not true but drug companies have us believing this. With acne, you want to do more than just temporarily calm the symptoms; you want to relieve them for good. To do that you need to look into natural remedies that deal with your health and inner body. That means taking vitamins that are naturally developed in your body to help fight off acne. You would be surprised at how many nutrients and vitamins that nature made can actually do this without any side effects. Without eliminating the acne you will never get rid of it. That means unless you look at the natural ways to help your acne you will just continue to have acne breakouts, long after you should. Listen to your body and give it the natural nutrients because that is what it needs to get rid of the acne.
