With 2015 firmly under way, now's the time to book that Grand Canyon airplane tour from Las Vegas. And to help you get started, I put together these 5 tips that will help you get the best flight at the lowest price.

My first tip is about booking online. I suggest this because it's so much easier to purchase your ticket on the Web. But most importantly, it's cheaper because companies post their lowest rates on the Internet.

This next tip concerns booking your flight in advance. Combined with booking on the Web, it's the ultimate way to get that price even cheaper. I recommend you reserve your trip at least a week or two in advance. This will ensure you get access to the most flights and departure times.

My third tip concerns packages that include a landing. I recommend these because they are clearly the best value when compared to air-only trips. My favorite landing package is the one that combines a flight to the West Rim followed by a helicopter ride to the bottom.

The other landing trip that I like is the direct flight to the South Rim combined with a helicopter ride and a 2.5-hour bus tour. The flight over takes just 60 minutes (compared to 5.5 hours if you drive it or take a bus). The helicopter segment goes from the South Rim to the North Rim an back, while the bus visits all the key sites inside the Park.

My #4 tip is go in the morning. This time of the day is best when it comes to visibility. It's also when air is the smoothest, especially during the summer months. These flights are very popular and are called "prime time," which is a fancy way of saying they cost more but in my opinion are worth the extra expense.

My next tip is get a window seat. Few traveler know that you can requests these seats, which is great because it gives it increases your chances of getting one. Window seats are never guaranteed because seating is determined by the weight of all passengers combined. However, if you submit a request, the odds are good you'll get one.

Those are my five best tips but I have a couple more I think will also be helpful. One in particular regards audio tours. Airplanes are equipped to offer audio tours in up to 10 different languages! Interestingly, you can't request an audio tour as you book your flight online. But if you want one, just come by our site and I'll add it to your ticket.

Lastly, please understand the difference between your pick up time and your flight time. Pick up is when you will be collected from your Las Vegas hotel. Departure time is when you board the aircraft and take off. Too many times I've seen good folks confuse the two and miss their flight. So please know and act upon the difference.

Conclusion

I hope these 5 tips regarding Grand Canyon airplane tours helped you. I figure by just using one or two of them will ensure you get a better flight. The two I find that make a real difference include booking in advance and picking a landing tour. So there you have it. Hope to see you up here soon. The Canyon's a beautiful place and we can't wait to have you as our guest.
