Using float tour coupons to enable you to have the fun and adventure of a lifetime floating on the calm water portion of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. The trips originate from locations such as Phoenix, Scottsdale, Sedona or Las Vegas. Typically, the South Rim or the West Rim are the departure points for the water portion of the trek.
There are several places to find coupons for these excursions. You might be able to find a coupon to receive a discounted price at the trek operator's website. There are promoters who scour the internet to collect and offer such coupons to the general public. Be sure that you understand what the coupons cover and that you aren't surprised by small print.
Tours typically occur during the months from April through November. The weather during other months makes the trip too unpleasant. When you are booking such an adventure, planning and purchasing your trip as far in advance as possible is important. Don't plan on walking up to the tour operator as the rafts are being loaded and joining the tour. It won't happen. Even if it were possible, you wouldn't be prepared physically to undertake the journey.
Children as young as four years of age can participate in this tour. Because there are no whitewater stretches, the movement of rafts through the placid distances are perfectly safe. The proper safety precautions are always followed so that children can take part in the activities. Seniors can also enjoy the trip. The tours are not dull and boring, there are opportunities to explore the beaches, side canyons and waterfalls.
The exact area of the river that will be part of the tour will depend upon the package purchased. The selection of West Rim or South Rim tours can be another feature in determining what water stretches are enjoyed. In either instance, the safety is assured and plenty of interesting vistas will be open to the enjoyment of the participants.
The floats used are not children's toys suitable for floating in a backyard swimming pool. They are intended to handle rapids, even though float trips are not designed to include rough water. The rafts are actually motorized pontoon style boats with comfort and stability. The rafts hold up to 19 people and there is storage room for the extra personal items.
Because of the nature of the trips, you can be assured of your breakfast, lunch, fees for the Park and guide service. For some tours, there will be pickup and return to the hotel. You should plan to bring sun screen, sun glasses, lip protection and a swim suit. A change of clothing is a good idea, since you are likely to get wet at some point during the water trek.
Going to the internet to find float tour coupons will help you to find the best deals for the exciting and adventurous journeys. Do the due diligence required to ensure that the special deals are really special. Look for coupons that are not restrictive in nature, so that they represent open dates and use as much as possible.
