You have to realize, when preparing a nursery for a girl, that the nursery and the girl baby bedding will be the source of baby’s first clear impressions. Though her eyes are only half-open, she certainly sees and feels her surroundings, perhaps more intensely than adults. In fact our most potent subconscious stimuli may have been acquired during childhood. For this reason, molding and educating the person should start in the nursery.
Obviously the things that the baby is most intimate within the nursery are her beddings. Little baby girl will spend most of the first year of life lying in, rolling in or otherwise wrapped in her beddings. The texture and colors of her sheets will be her first sensations regarding touch and vision. The light, as reflected from her beddings, is all she knows of beauty. And she won’t get much inspiration from old and worn-out beddings. The very first concern you should have is to provide baby with beddings that are colorful, non-toxic and soft.
