Introducing Usui Reiki
When you hear of people talking about Reiki, they will typically be describing Usui Reiki. a method of hands on healing which calls on or invokes universal energy to raise our energetic vibration; thus creating the vibrational circumstances for our own healing and growth.
The actual word ‘Reiki’ comes from two Japanese Kanji characters ‘Rei’ and ‘Ki’ so Reiki is often loosely defined as meaning universal energy, universal love or more accurately spiritually guided life force energy.
Many of you reading this will probably be familiar with this practice which was brought through by a Japanese Buddhist monk, Dr Mikao Usui, in the last 19th century. This is now a practice which has literally spread to many millions of people around the globe and has gained popularity for its seemingly infallible healing qualities as well as its mysterious origins.
A Broader Understanding of Reiki
In more recent times, there are now many additional kinds of Reiki emerging from the likes of Celestine Reiki, Prophestine Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, Gold Reiki, Diamond Reiki, Past Life Reiki, the list goes on and on.
And whilst these more recent forms of Reiki are not directly traceable back to Dr Mikao Usui, it is these newer energies that can play such a very important role in our healing and purification practices.
Take for example Kundalini Reiki. Introduced to us by Mr Ole Gabrielson, this form of healing is said to be a fusion between our own evolutionary Kundalini energy and the universal energy source which surrounds us. Attunements are offered be a variety of Masters around the world, often by suggested donation and the practices can be completed in around 5 - 10 minutes. A wonderful form of healing and meditation!
Another example would be Karuna Reiki, which was introduced to us by the International Centre for Reiki Training. Being available to Usui Reiki Masters only, this form of energy based healing is based on compassionate action or ‘Karuna'. It works with a series of energetic symbols and helps a practitioner to move towards more compassion, peace and love in their life. Another beautiful practice!
And these are just two very easy examples of what are now very pure and loving divinely guided energies, here to help us to heal, purify and evolve.
In this way, it can often be good to view these newer forms of Reiki as being like sub-categories of the universal inter-connected energy field and therefore, they hold an equally valid place in the Reiki family. Let us all share what we have with each other and let us all bask in love and light and unite as one big happy Reiki family!
Reiki & The New Consciousness
We can now find many examples of mystics, clairvoyants, mediums and other light workers who are speaking of an evolutionary shift in the vibration of this planet and its inhabitants.
And whilst this concept may sound fantastical and too immense to even fathom, there is now a wide variety of mounting evidence to suggest that this is actually the case. Yes really, we are currently being guided to a higher and more harmonious state of vibration; one which takes us from an old, egoic consciousness to a new loving, unified consciousness.
Again, as the divinely guided hand continues to help us move forwards with love, light and understanding so too can we now find many types of attunements, teachings & healing practices for this new consciousness.
One example of this is Celestine Reiki which is offered to us as part of a more complete ascension process known to us as ‘The Unified Pathway To Light’. This system of energy based healing is said to raise our energetic vibration closer to that of the new consciousness through a series of attunements, channeled teachings and self-healing practices. All of these teachings are offered online and by donation for the benefit of all.
Conclusion
The term Reiki means universal energy and when we look deeply into defining this, it becomes clear to us that this is an infinitely loving source of potential, possibility and light. It is available for us all to bask in, to surrender to and to enjoy no matter what our beliefs, religions or spiritual background.
May we all understand that there are many opportunities for purification, growth and inner transformation and may we celebrate our diversities, seeing them as the strengths that they are. May we all find whatever it is we need in this abundant universe and may all beings enjoy happiness in their life, now and forever.
