During the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, athletes from around the world will be flocking in to stay at the Olympic Village, but what about all the spectators that come to London? Here's our guide to the hotels in the vicinity of the main Olympic Arenas.
Lord's Cricket Ground
Lord's Cricket Ground is located in well to do St John's Wood. During London 2012, this world-famous cricket ground will host the Olympic Archery events, while nearby Regent's Park is the venue for the Road Cycling race. Lord's is overlooked by the Danubius Hotel Regents Park, a four star London hotel just five minutes' walk from St John's Wood Underground Station. While you're not watching the London 2012 events, why not talk with the animals at nearby London Zoo, go shopping in Camden Town or meet the waxworks in Madame Tussauds.

What better way to enjoy London 2012 than in the lap of luxury. Watch the world's top athletes sweat it out in the Olympic Triathlon and 10k Open Water Swim in Hyde Park, before sauntering back to nearby Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park for a treatment in its celebrated spa or perhaps a spot of gourmet cuisine at Foliage, one of the in-house restaurants. Well, all that cheering is hard work! Wimbledon
The famous London home of lawn tennis, Wimbledon is the obvious place to hold the Olympic Tennis competition. Think Earls Court has a great selection of serviced apartments which you can book for as little as 69 pounds. Greenwich
Greenwich Park, North Greenwich Arena 1 and 2, The Royal Artillery Barracks...the London borough of Greenwich is teaming with Olympic venues. There are a massive 14 Olympic and Paralympic Sports taking place here, from all the Equestrian events to Wheelchair Basketball. As well as a London 2012 hive of activity, Greenwich Park is London's oldest Royal Park, a World Heritage Site and the home of Greenwich Mean Time. Located right in the historic riverside town, next to the train and DLR station, the Novotel London Greenwich makes a great London 2012 hotel base for exploring the area and travelling into Central London.
