If you're looking for something spectacular to do while visiting the Grand Canyon, take an airplane tour. I recall my last flight. It was so awesome that I swore I'd help as many visitors as possible take to the skies. To this end, I want to share with you how to get these flights cheaply by using coupon codes.

Before we dive into coupons, I want to first reveal to you two simple ways you can save money without them. The first step is to book in advance. I know it sounds common-sensical but you'd be surprise how many people wait until the last minute (procrastination!)

Anyhow, I personally reserve seats for friends and family at least a week beforehand. If I can get two weeks between me and the date I want to go, I'll do it. The point here is avoid signup within 24 hours of your desired departure time. Several things can happen, the most important being:

1. You'll pay more;
2. You'll have fewer tours to choose from;
3. You'll have fewer times to choose from.

I find point #1 the most motivating. It just goes against my nature to pay a premium for air tours. But moving on...

The second step is to purchase your tickets online. Don't use travel sites like Orbitz, Priceline and Expedia. Instead, go direct to the source. By that I mean the actual tour supplier. These are the folks that operate the tour and thus are in a position to set prices and offer great promotions.

One thing you absolutely need to remember at this state is this: Make sure you complete your transaction online. If you don't, you might end up being disqualified from the Internet discount.

Now, if you really want to stack up the savings, use a coupon code. These codes are basically numbers and letters that represent an offer. The key thing about them is they have to be used relatively quickly because they expire. To use them, go to the tour supplier's website and:

1. Select the tour you want;
2. Enter your passenger information;
3. Pick your time and dates;
4. Punch in your coupon code;
5. Voila, youre finished!

In nearly all cases the coupon will immediately reduce the overall price of your order, which, when combined with booking online and in advance, is quite significant.

Coupon codes are good for airplane tours at the West Rim and the South Rim. If you are in Las Vegas, you'll be able to choose between the rims, while those in Arizona will do the South Rim. At the moment, there are no connecting flights between the rims. There are also no flights that go from the South Rim and land on the North Rim.

Conclusion

Well, I hope my article about Grand Canyon airplane tours and coupon codes proved helpful and revealing. I know that using them has saved me a lot of money over the years, especially when I combine them with booking ahead of time and buying direct from the source. Simply put, if you duplicate this process, you, too, will save big time. Until next time, have a great flight!
