There are many companies and organizations using LED high bay lights today. These lights provide a number of advantages to users and can be used for a variety of purposes.
One thing that you need to consider is the design of the fixture. More often than not, an LED high bay light fixture will come either in pendant form or linear. Pendants take up more space and they will need a very high ceiling. Linear fixtures do not need quite as high of a space. Make sure you determine what type of high bay lighting you will need before you go out and purchase bulbs.
Another important thing to consider is the weight of the bulbs. Some LED high bay lights will require extra support because the lights are particularly heavy. The biggest issue with HID lights is that they typically take 10 minutes to warm up and begin producing light. Whereas, LED lights do not take this long to warm up. They produce light immediately. This eliminates the need to have someone enter the building early just to turn on the lights.
