Whether your are trying to give up smoking or want whiter teeth because you smoke and your teeth are very stained from the tobacco have you thought about teeth whitening as an option?

Smokers have a contact battle with keeping their teeth white as the stains from the tobacco are almost impossible to remove by brushing alone. A good option available now is to look at teeth whitening on a regular basis. Tooth whitening removes the tobacco stains that are deeply penetrated into the enamel of the teeth and helps restore them back to there natural white shade. After the initial treatment of laser teeth whitening which will remove at least 90 per cent of the stains you may then prefer to use a whitening tray or whitening strips to maintain and improve the look of your teeth. Another option would be too look at having regular ten minute tops ups from a laser whitening consultant. Either way they are all good options allowing you to have a better more attractive smile with the evidence of tobacco stains.

Smokers wanting to give up smoking something look at the whitening treatments as a good incentive to aid quitting. They either treat themselves after quitting or have the treatment durning quitting which all add to the great feel good and healthier feeling that quitting smoking will give you. Nobody likes the look of ugly yellow stain teeth everyone loves the looks of a nice brighter whiter smile that lights up the room!

So lets go over your options either as a smoker or a ex smoker. You can look at having a one hour treatment with a laser whitening or power whitening consultant this will give you instant results as tobacco stains are one of the easiest stains to remove. This treatment can be followed up every six months with a ten minute top up to fresh your teeth or whiten them up even more. The other choice would be to use a teeth whitening tray. These trays need to be worn everyday or night for a period of at least a month in order to get good results. The problem being that you may start to whiten your teeth in the evenings but during the day you will inevitably put a small amount of staining back on from either tobacco, food or drink. Therefore every evening you are playing catch up on the days staining. A combination of the two is also an option you could have a laser one hour treatment then use teeth bleaching trays maybe once or twice a week.

The good news is that now a days there are lots of choices to help you maintain whiter teeth where you are a smoker or ex smoker so get whitening today! The internet is a great too for tooth whitening research and will help you find a local professional company or consultant who can advise you on the best type of treatment for you.
