Having brown skin spots is a cause of concern for a lot of women. Aside from being unsightly, they are usually associated with aging. Women do not like to see these signs because aging is something that they would always want to prevent. But brown skin spots which are sometimes called age spots are not really caused by aging. Although they become more apparent as people age, brown skin spots are caused by over exposure to the sun. Abnormal pigmentation appears because of the ultraviolet rays of the sun. So how do you fade brown skin spots to make your skin look flawless and younger looking? What are the best ways to lighten brown skin spots?
There are a lot of solutions to lighten brown skin spots that are available right in your own home. Just go to your kitchen and you will see some of them.
Orange peelings can be used to fade brown skin spots. What you need to do is to collect orange peelings then dry them under the sun. Once they have fully dried up, grind them to make fine powder. Mix this orange peel powder with milk to make a paste. Apply this paste on the affected skin. Let the paste stay on the skin until it dries up. Then wash it off using lukewarm water.
Glam flour bleach can also be used to remove skin spots. The ingredients that you will need are gram flour, turmeric powder, milk cream and lemon juice. Mix two spoon full of gram flour with one pinch turmeric powder, a few drops of milk cream and a few drops of lemon juice to make a paste. Apply this paste on the affected skin. Let it dry then scrub it off.
Buttermilk mixed with lemon essential oil can also help. Separately these two can cause skin spots to lighten. When combined, they can give better and faster results. Mix one tablespoon of buttermilk with three drops of lemon essential oil. Dub this mixture on your skin. You can apply it twice daily.
Aloe vera gel can also be used. Just rub it on the spots to fade them. Same goes true with organic castor oil. You can also dab it on the skin to lighten spots.
Horseradish can also be used. What you need to do is to mix one teaspoon of grated horseradish root with three drops of rosemary oil, teaspoon vinegar and teaspoon lemon juice. Dab this mixture on the skin. If applying on the face be careful not to put some on the eyes.
Lastly, you can also use sandalwood powder. Mix sandalwood powder with a few drops of cucumber juice, lemon juice and tomato juice to make a paste. Apply this paste on the skin. Let it dry and remove with a clean piece cloth soaked in lukewarm water.
All these home remedies are effective to fade brown skin spots. They are also cheap. But if you are not one who is too fond of preparing things on your own, you can also use commercially available creams. You can even go to a dermatologist to help you with clinical procedures like laser treatment and cryosurgery. But whatever method you use just always ensure your safety. Once you feel any irritation consult your dermatologist to prevent further problems.
