The historical importance of Seville

Situated on the rolling plains of the river Guadalquivir in the southern part of the sunny country of Spain, this city of Seville serves as the unchallenged capital of all the arts and cultural glory of Spain. This southern province also goes by the name �Sevilla� by which it was known from time immemorial. The people of this town are called �Sevillanas� (female) �Sevillanos� (male) or simply �Hispalenses� (common to both genders).
