A vital goal of internet marketing is dominating social networks, as these are an excellent provider of traffic, and the one social network you would want to dominate (if you could only choose one!) would be Twitter. You just have to get followers by posting educational tweets and then maintain a friendly and professional relationship with those followers, and you will soon build your number of leads.

A lot of Twitter users send tweets about nothing much of any consequence. If you use it correctly, twitter can send a flood of visitors to your site. All of these extra visitors really only means one thing to you - making more money!

That’s why you should tell everyone you have an account with twitter. Make sure your twitter url is everywhere you are allowed to post it for greater spread of your details, and always Tweet high quality Content whenever you post. Your number of followers and visitors is in direct relation to your number of high quality posts.

For best marketing results you should tweet on a schedule that you can maintain. Always make sure you take the time to reply to your direct messages (even though you will get tired of receiving all that twitter spam). But do not make the mistake of replying to tweets all the time and not doing any other work, or your business will fail; very quickly.

It would be of great use to you to have a mobile device that you can use to tweet with whilst on the move, so that you don’t have to stop working whilst travelling. It will also help you keep up with your twitter marketing efforts during those long periods when you have to be away from your computer.

It is important that you try to only post no more than 10% promotional or advertising tweets. You should let the rest of your tweets be educational or entertaining, so that your followers don’t get bored of you and think of you as just another business trying to drum up sales.

Don’t send out tweets that are overly friendly either. Even though you want some tweets that are not sales tweets, you cannot stop being professional as you risk losing those followers who are of a serious m9ind. Remember you are not tweeting to your mates down the pub here!

You want to establish a relationship with others that can either be of use to you as a supplier of products and services or with those who can become your potential purchases. Do all of the above to make the most of the avalanche of traffic that twitter can provide you with.

Here are the main points recapped, with a few others of interest:

1. Let everybody know you are on Twitter.
2. Tweet on a regular basis.
3. Retweet content you like.
4. Reply to your messages.
5. Be aware of what type of tweets you are sending out.
6. Post friendly yet professional tweets.
7. Look after your followers to grow your relationships with them.

All of this is obvious when you think about it, but the complexities of marketing on twitter are somewhat harder to understand. What you really need is products that can take care of your twitter marketing strategy for you.
