*********************** ARTICLE START ***********************
When I first Started to Blog

About a year ago I was interested in learning how to blog. I knew people wrote on the Internet, but I had no idea where to start. Fast forward to today and I enjoy blogging on a daily basis.

My favorite subject to blog about is helping other people.I really enjoy giving strategies on self improvement and stretching people out of their comfort zone to help make big life changes.

Ideas on What to Blog About

Let your imagination go wild! If you can imagine it you can blog about it. You can blog about your hobbies, interests, educational, are just a few.

I had a interest in aquaponics and I wrote a couple of blogs on the subject before I moved on to other subjects. It is OK to write about multiple subjects when blogging. When writing make your it is easy to read for all ages that will be visiting your site.

Your Website Home Page

The home page is the first place many visitors see when checking out your site. Take some time to create an inviting and welcoming page.

Some blog sites have so many ads that you cannot find the subject matter that you came to see. Have your information organized so that what the person came to the site for is easy to find. If a person clicks on your site and is not comfortable they will leave very quickly.

What is in a Blog Title?

Use a keyword if possible in your Title and in the body of the post. But do not over use it. Have you ever had someone give a speech and keep saying um? If you over use your keyword people will notice and again probably leave your site. The title needs to be specific to what the audience is searching for when they do a keyword search. You want to lure them in to read your blog. You want to the title to be relevant to the subject.

Your Blog needs to Be Updated Frequently

If you write just a couple of times a month do not expect to have a lot of visitors to your site. If someone clicks on your site and you only have 3 posts they most likely will look elsewhere for their answers. Take the time to update your site as much as possible this will help get your rankings higher in the search engines.

Give Your Blog Some Color

When going to a website you do not just want to see words. People enjoy some pictures when reading. Add some pictures to your blog that are relevant to what your are writing. Remember to name your pictures with keywords to help if someone is doing a search by pictures.

The Comment Section

The comment section is important to have on your blog site. This is to allow people to be a part of the communication of the blog if they desire. If a person has some suggestions or additional questions the comment section is available.

Have Fun!
