India is a diverse country and prides itself on being the largest democracy on earth. It is the seventh largest country in the world by area and the second largest, next to China, by population. Given the birth statistics, it is assumed that India will take the first spot from China in under ten years.
In India you will find vast differences in culture, climate, language, geography and ethnicity. It is a lovely place to go to for a holiday or family holiday and you will surely be entertained every minute of your stay.
There are many different languages in India, more than 438 are spoken and 22 are official languages. A good rule of thumb states that if you go from one state to the other in India, you can expect to hear a different language. English is a second language to most, so you will be able to get along, but you should know that it may be wise to learn a little Hindi, as it is the most used language in India.
There are many fairs and festival that you should make note of, and if you are able to go to any of them, you will not be disappointed. There are two many tourist attractions to mention in even six articles, and it is thus very hard to visit them all, but you may want to take note of the following few and try to knock a few of them off while youre there.
The Taj Mahal is located in Agra and is a marvelous sight as it stands prominent. The Taj is something everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. It was erected in 1648 after construction was started in 1632. It incorporates traditional Persian architecture as well as early Mughal architecture. On the front Great Gate you will see calligraphy that reads O soul, thou art at rest. Return to the Lord at peace with Him, and He at peace with you. This is one of the most beautiful statements.
Many wildlife enthusiasts have yet to see the amazing and beautiful animal that is of the cat family, the tiger. A tiger is a very large and muscled cat, which is a predator by nature and can take down a lion. However a predator, a tiger can also be a very loving pet, to a sensible measure, and they come forth in many of the tiger reserves in India, so it is definitely worth checking one out.
The last of the three best we could pick out is surely the Sangla Valley, which is considered the most beautiful valley in the world. It provides a sense of peace to the soul and will offer many photogenic and unforgettable landscapes. In addition to that, it offers richly forested slopes and delightful views of the high mountains. It is a hill-town in the Kinnuar district of Himachal Pradesh, close to the Tibetan border.
Hopefully you will enjoy your trip to India and get to see all of the three things mentioned.
