Improving your life is simply a matter of changing the way you look at the world, your attitude toward new things and how you approach different situations. What is important is not the event itself, but how you respond to it.

Fatalism feeds on itself, until people become passive "victims" of life's blows. The "defeated" in life are those who are convinced they will fail before they start anything; they're sure that their "bad luck" will ruin any prospects of success.

However for some people, it's less work to be unhappy than to be happy. They cultivate habits that keep them feeling stretched and overwhelmed. They rarely notice that the reason for their ship wreck is the mind's ignorance, laziness, want of skill, or want of forethought; all of which they could do something to correct.

Be Proactive

Constantly reacting to situations or circumstances translates to being a step behind. And this can feel frustrating.

Being proactive is not a mysterious quality that we have or don't have. It is a tool that one can develop and strengthen. It is a way of dealing with things. It means applying foresight. Certain things in life are out of our control. Being proactive means making decisions about circumstances within ones realm of influence. It's a great method for avoiding more work down the road but also can be important for averting disasters, planning for the future and for instituting an approach that makes life simple, easy and fun.

Solve Problems - instead of dwelling on them.

Here's how. Define the situation. (What is the problem?). Brainstorm or consider available options. What is your first step to get the "plan of attack" in motion? And, then get on with it!

Be a good communicator.

You have to communicate who you are and what you want. The degree to which you are competent at getting your point across clearly and succinctly is the degree to which you are effectual. Your fulfillment and your positive identity are directly linked to your ability to make requests, present ideas, and handle taxing conversations with ease.

Play your strong cards.

What works for you and what does not? Know your strengths and use them.Don't pretend to be something you're not as others will pick up that you're not genuine. So be you.

Have Simple Pleasures.

A good cup of coffee when I first wake up is an essential part of my routine. I love the smell, relish the flavors and thoroughly enjoy this routine if you slow down for just a moment and take the time to appreciate ordinary events, life becomes instantly more enjoyable, and you feel lucky!

We are the creators of our world.

Stop. And do some quiet introspection to recognize those personal barriers from the past that may pop up and sabotage your life, and luck.

Don't miss anything.

Many of us don't know how to have fun, so we end up filling our free time with passive entertainments that, ultimately, are not very satisfying. Be adventurous and make a date with yourself (and perhaps others) to get out and try something new!

In the universe, there are things that are known, and things that are unknown, and in between, there are doors. William Blake
