The Network Marketing Industry is one of the fastest developing industries in the world utilized by entrepreneurs who wish to create a reliable and sustainable income, however the industry is often plagued with myths and preconceived notions that can generate a bad repute. Home-based business are slowly becoming more popular due to slow economic growth and the advancements in technology, thus it's a fantastic time to begin this type of marketing.
One myth concerning the industry is that surrounding the Empower Network and the comparison to illegal pyramids or Ponzi schemes. These are schemes that are predominantly 'money games', and attract their client base through the use of extravagant income claims. Such schemes in fact do not sell any form of legitimate product or service to retail customers, thus the profit stems from recruitment and when the scheme collapses, the people at the bottom of the pyramid tend to suffer the most. A MLM business is in no way related to such illegal structures yet the common misconception remains, and the industry is constantly compared to these scams. All marketing companies have a product to sell where distributors sign up in order to sell their product aided by Internet marketing. Large businesses or corporations often resemble a pyramid structure with individuals such as the CEO and the President at the top of the pyramid. Network marketing business in fact offers the option of equal opportunity for those seeking to profit from it, with a real measurable chance of success. With the Empower Network, one can gain access to products such as Viral Blogging and Marketing Systems, Intensive Training as well as Inner Circle Communities, which don't resemble a pyramid scheme. In reality, running such business can be as stressful as a management office job, due to the additional responsibilities of managing and organizing all aspects of the business from marketing to pitching ideas to training staff further down the pipeline. Another related misconception is that the marketing and sale of a product is relatively easy, and that it's fairly simple for the business to gain momentum, move forward and succeed. Conversely, the majority of distributors find these aspects of the business particularly challenging which in fact occasions a high drop out rate.
Maintaining sustainable and lasting rapports with customers, clients, prospects and business partners is also imperative for success in the network marketing business. Although it's essential to be driven and to maintain a competitive atmosphere, being ruthless will not form a trusting relationship with clients. Building the confidence of clients and customers is key in order to ensure future dealings and purchases, and in turn a prosperous business.
