When it comes to getting cellular communication up and running, the average person has the money to spare, even if it's a limited option that doesn't cost a whole lot. There are a lot of great plans that are available to the average person, but that doesn't necessarily bode well for those that don't have income at all. For instance, if you're homeless or you're unemployed and do not have any money coming in, you may not be able to get back on your feet without having a cell phone. This harsh reality hits those that are homeless very hard, and getting forward momentum can seem like insurmountable odds are being engaged. That is all changing as there is no free cell phones for the homeless and it's coming from Assurance Wireless.
Assurance Wireless has been pushing their free plan for anyone that is part of a low income bracket or is dealing with a bout of homelessness and is in need of a quality cellular phone provider for a low cost. This might seem like something that is difficult to manage, but it's actually easier than you might think. There are a few things that you'll need to understand about this program before taking advantage of it.
First and foremost, it's imperative to realize that this is not for everyone. It's for those that meet the parameters of homeless or very low income. That means that the average joe isn't going to be able to go to Assurance Wireless and get a phone for free. Certain parameters need to be met, but once they are met with proper order, the phone and services is subsidized by the government. That's right, it's 100% free without an additional cost at all. The plan is limited to 250 minutes of talk, and 250 text messages. Additional options are available through a variety of resources.
For those that find 250 minutes too limited, you can add minutes through Virgin mobile refill cards and utilize third party payment options like PayPal to add minutes. That might be advantageous over time, but the initial offerings are 100% free and are not substandard network options at all.
Right now this programs is only available in 33 states, and doesn't cover 100% of the population. Those that are looking for low cost cellular phones are not going to qualify if they don't match the criteria of being homeless or extremely low income. This is really meant to help those that are actively trying to get work, or back out of a negative situation into a positive one. Often time's employers, even for rudimentary jobs, need to contact someone, and a free cell phone beats the payphones that are not always available. For those that are not doing so well financially, this is a saving grace that technology providers are noting as great. In the case of free cell phones for the homeless, Assurance Wireless is making strides to assist, and it comes with no strings attached. This is definitely a helping hand in communication to those that need it most.
