Many of us pray to what we consider our God, or some deity, and some have numerous sources to which they offer prayers. Every person that prays does so at different times and for different reasons, and they often use different methods. Now, before we get any further in this article, I wan to state here that the rest of this articles content will be talking about praying to God the Father, in the name of his son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, the visible form of the Holy Trinity that we can touch, feel and see.
Jesus tells us that when two or more followers of his are gathered, something amazing occurs:
Matthew 18:20 - Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
There seems to be something spiritual or paranormal that occurs then in a group of believers in Jesus Christ, that does not occur when we are alone at home, or some place by ourselves. But it does not say that the group needs to be praying, it says when they come together in Jesus name his presence is there amongst them.
What happens when we pray? I got thinking about praying and people wishing 'good luck' upon others, and I started noticing that a lot of times, when things are going good in life, something bad seems to happen right at those times when we often wish for the 'good luck' to continue, or to even increase. And at other times when we pray, things seem to get worse then they were before. I believe the Holy Bible from cover to cover, so as the Bible states, if two or more people gathered together actually brings some spiritual or paranormal presence of Jesus Christ himself, amongst the people, what does this mean as far as Spiritual Warfare and causing good things, or even miracles to occur.
I need to stop here and briefly say or state, 'What forces are there that wish to cause harm or troubles to humans?', I would say besides other humans, the biggest threat is what the Holy Bible describes as Satan, and his forces, i.e., demons, evil spirits, fallen angels, or whatever else you wish to call them, the same forces that hate Jesus Christ, hate us, here's a brief Biblical message about these forces that are constantly warring against us:
Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
If we pray together for each other in a group setting such as a Church, Bible Study or some other type setting, we therefore have Jesus Christ himself amongst us in some spiritual form, I would certainly think that in such a setting, a demon, fallen angel, or any other such negative entity is not going to be present, in fact to do so, would probably be like the old scenes from the Vampire movies, where a cross is shown, and the vampire flees in terror. If we are praying out loud, or mentally to ourselves, the prayers are still heard, as God even knows our thoughts being that he is Omniscient, either way, in a group setting, Jesus Christ is amongst us, repelling any negative spiritual beings.
When we are by ourselves and we pray we must not have the same protection or paranormal presence of Jesus Christ amongst us as we do in the group setting. God the Father is present in some aspect, because God is Omnipresent, but being alone, we are without Jesus Christ's presence, by being alone we may allow demons, fallen angels, or whatever you wish to call these negative entities to be present also as they desire to do so, and if we pray out loud when we are alone, not only does God hear our prayers but the forces of evil hear them also.
When we are alone we often pray for ourselves more then we would in a group or Church setting, in the group setting we tend to pray more for a Church member or family member to be healed, or for the Church to grow in membership or such other desire, and again, there are no negative entities present to hear the prayers, being that the presence of Jesus Christ himself is there, repelling these evil forces.
When we are alone and we pray, we may truly want to pray silently, and here is an example why: For this example let's use a person named Solon. Solon is home alone and he has trouble with pornography, so Solon prays out loud, 'God please help me to stop looking at porno'. God heard Solon's prayer because he is Omnipresent, but because Solon is alone, without Jesus Christ's presence as in the group setting, demons, fallen angels, or other evil entities are quite probably also near Solon, listening to his prayers. So, if these evil forces know that Solon has a sinful desire to look at porno, and asks for Gods help with it, what are they going to do? The forces of evil, will use any means possible to make sure Solon, views more porno, they may cause complete strangers to send X-rated spam emails, or constantly impress upon Solon's mental state, the desire to look at more porno, we do not truly know the powers and abilities of these negative entities. In any case, the very act of Solon praying out loud, may cause him more harm then good.
If Solon, had prayed in silence to God, God would of heard his pleas for help, but the negative forces would of not, so they could not as the old saying goes, throw salt into the wounds. When praying alone, put on another piece of the armor of God, by praying in silence.
There is a website that describes Prayer and numerous other topics of interest such as conspiracies, secret technology, ufos, secret weapons research, bible end times predictions and many other such subjects, this website is called: The Great Deception and it may be found at this url:
