Emaar CBI connection in regards to Emaar Scam is a blessing in disguise for the real estate developer as detailed CBI investigation has revealed no evidences against the global player, thus clearing its role in the much hyped Emaar Scam. Emaar, co-accused along with APIIC or Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation were embroiled in a controversy surrounding a luxurious township in the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. The township spread across an area of 531 acres. Surrounded by a beautiful 18-hole international standard golf course, each residential unit within the gated boundary of this luxurious township was built to adhere to international living standards. A self sustainable unit, the township even encompasses a resort style 5 star hotel. Emaar was accused of allegedly undervaluing the plots of the township, which the real estate company has strongly denied. This controversy came to be known as Emaar Scam in the real estate industry of the country. The scam gained all the more popularity as many high ranking officials and film stars were roped in by CBI for questioning. Throughout the investigation Emaar CBI cooperation is exemplary and eye opener for media and competitors alike.
Starting its operation in India in 2005 following the deregulations of foreign trade, Emaar joined India�s own MGF Development Limited in a joint venture and bought along with it a huge kitty amounting to over a half billion US dollars in FDI, which is considered as one of the largest FDI in the real estate sector of that time.
