June, July, and August are the hottest months in South Rim with temperatures ranging from 81 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. November and December are airy, cold months with temperatures ranging between 43 and 52 degrees Fahrenheit.

Every morning, the bus will leave from the Grand Canyon Airport. If you decide to lodge inside the park, you can be picked up without any additional fees.

The bus ride is not as long as many tourists expect, averaging 2 1/2 hours. The first stop is Page, Arizona. From Page, Arizona, you will venture to the base of Glen Canyon Dam. From the dam, you will only transfer once more to the pontoon which is suitable for 19 persons. Once you are aboard the adventure-grade pontoon, you will begin the scenic 15.3 mile tour.
