If you are looking for a great family adventure, Grand Canyon rafting is perfect. For these rafting tours, there are two options available. You can enjoy the float tour via bus and float or via plane, jeep, float, and bus. This tour, like many others, are held in South Rim.
South Rim offers an average elevation of 7000 ft, 2133 meters of scenic, nature-made surroundings. It it will be in your best interest to endure this trip when the temperature is perfect for you. It will be in your best interest to look at the temperatures you plan on traveling so you can be prepared and properly dressed.
If you plan on touring the South Rim during January, February, or March, the temperature will range between 40 and 51 degrees Fahrenheit. April and May are the months where it is not too hot or too cold with temperatures ranging from 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. June, July, and August are the hottest months in South Rim with temperatures ranging from 81 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. September and October are two months that fall close to the end of the year that has mild and fair temperatures ranging from 65 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit. November and December are airy, cold months with temperatures ranging between 43 and 52 degrees Fahrenheit.
Many people are fond of these tours because children as young as four years of age can enjoy the tour. The South Rim tour is the cheapest tour available. Every morning, the bus will leave from the Grand Canyon Airport. If you decide to lodge inside the park, you can be picked up without any additional fees.
The bus ride is not as long as many tourists expect, averaging 2 1/2 hours. The first stop is Page, Arizona. From Page, Arizona, you will venture to the base of Glen Canyon Dam. From the dam, you will only transfer once more to the pontoon which is suitable for 19 persons. Once you are aboard the adventure-grade pontoon, you will begin the scenic 15.3 mile tour.
A lot of people enjoy taking their children on trips and this is one trip the entire family can enjoy because this tour is calm, mellow, and educational. This is the perfect tour for sight-seeing and learning many interesting facts regarding the Grand Canyon. You will be happy to know that the Grand Canyon has more to offer than many people believe.
