I just posted a research note ( http://publiclaboratory.org/notes/cfastie/5-31-2012/3d-model-meshlab) about a 3D map of the Lee, New Hampshire cover crop trials that we balloon mapped last week ( http://publiclaboratory.org/notes/cfastie/5-29-2012/lee-nh-plotsfarmhack-meetup). I have not been able to figure out how to get MeshLab to display the photo texture on the 3D model.  The high resolution model looks great, but no texture map.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Chris, great work! On lower-memory machines MeshLab often
struggles with large texture files like the ones we create on Hypr3D.
If you experience this problem you can work around it by resizing the
texture file to either 4096x4096 or 2048x2048. This will of course
reduce the texture resolution, but it's often a minor effect. Thanks
for using Hypr3D, and keep up the interesting work!

Thanks Tom.  I downsampled to 50% and it worked.  There is a snapshot of the MeshLab model in a comment to the research note here:  http://publiclaboratory.org/notes/cfastie/5-31-2012/3d-model-meshlab#comment-823.
There are also links there if anyone with more that 8 GB RAM wants to try to display the high resolution texture map.  Maybe I can borrow my son's new Alienware gaming machine and get it done.
