On May 26th in Providence Rhode Island,
Public Lab is offering a free workshop where participants can learn about Do-It-Yourself, open source science and get involved in Public Lab by making and improving their own
Thermal Flashlights! Thermal Flashlights are low cost tools for creating striking thermal images (like the one shown below). Public Lab is developing and testing them for use by communities in home winterization programs. Join us in developing the tool and new ways it can help address local community environmental issues.
AS220, Providence's amazing local public forum and home for the arts, is hosting the workshop in collaboration with Digital+Media at RISD:
No electronics skills are necessary to participate, only an interest in DIY open source science. Participants will be able to buy Thermal Flashlights they build in the workshop at cost. Sign up while there are still spots!
