Hi All
I’m looking to define a  “data atlatl to the cloud” and find anybody similarly interested!
Something to poll instrument readings like  ~ water level, temperature, turbidity, Dissolved Oxygen,  conductivity, CDOM, transparency, dye tracing  and sling it into the cloud for everyone to see it. Integrated powering has to be there somewhere. Webcams are really low cost as well. The right picture is worth a thousand words.

We can get readings from Mars, but down on terra firma very few of us have even millionth of NASA’s budget to monitor our local watershed.

Is anybody interested in helping me define interfaces, dream about realistic  deployment scenarios, data quality methodology, powering scenarios  and budgetary price points that could make it attractive.
I’m thinking of an Open Hardware/Software architecture.
https://pachube.com/ is one of a number data visualization tools.

The story is at azonde.com – I’ve designed one ruggedized wireless stage gauge solely focused on three readings - water depth,  water temperature and air temperature.
