For anyone in the Detroit area, I'll be in town Monday - Friday next week doing a final round of 'seed' (initial) data gathering for our Wildflowers of Detroit project.  I'm hoping to add several hundred photos and end our alpha phase with a well populated map.  I also have some abstract yearnings to get a kite map of some of the more overgrown vacant lots - but I will need some help to pull that off since I've never done a kite (or balloon) map on my own.   I do have a balloon kit, I do not yet have a kite.   SO, if there is anyone on this list in Michigan interested in doing a grass roots map in Detroit, please get in touch and let's meet up!   Of course I would like to add these as layers to the Wildflowers of Detroit map as we continue to build it out.
