I tried to find a contact on the website, but could not. I hope somebody here can help me with my questions. I am currently working for the UNEP-WCMC and we are putting together a toolkit for indigenous and community conserved areas (ICCA).We were wondering, if you have used with indigenous or local communities and if there is a way in which we could get i touch with them. We would like to include balloon mapping in the toolkit and preferably need an example. Moreover, could we make reference to your website in the toolkit?
Finally, we really like your illustrations on the balloon mapping presentations and infographics. They are simple and clear, yet not childish. Who made them? We are searching for good illustrations for the entire toolkit we design and so far did not come across something appropriate.
I live in Medellin, Colombia.
I am in close contact with Gabriel Jaime Vanegas Montoya,
who is leading the balloon mapping project for local communities in
a difficult context of marginalization, violence and poverty.
taken in and around the biblioteca piloto, a initiative of the
municipality, which installed public libraries in difficult areas of
the city, having tremendous impact.
I am happy to pass the contact along if this is of service to you.

I drew many of the illustrations in the guides... i'm glad you like them!
They are all licensed under a Creative Commons ShareAlike Attribution
license, so you're free to use/adapt them under those terms (see
creativecommons.org). I really enjoy illustrating, so it's one of my
favorite parts about doing Public Lab work.
Actually, Fabio - I've been trying to get a hold of Gabriel for some time
via his Flickr account. I've been following a lot of his/your work and it's
super... I wanted to nominate him to the PLOTS organizers list since he's
been such an active organizer of balloon mapping events. I'm also trying to
help revive the spanish language mailing list with help from Juan Pablo
Torrente and a few others. So if you'd mention it to him that would be so
great. There's a lot of great spanish-language PLOTS work going on.
