Saw this article and thought the game "Ghost Hunter" sounded like a pretty novel means of gathering citizen science data.

I'll bet point clouds could be derived from the photos taken.  Very cool
idea and great quote at the very end:

It could potentially lure people into unsafe places, so it depends on the

similar games were widely used in the future to help scientists gather
data, they will have to tell players that's what they're doing, Bustamante
