Citizen science hub in Los Angeles

Hello all,

I've been following PLOTS for a while now out here in Los Angeles.  I teach high school physics and run a student research program out here, and as an extension of that I'm building up the student program to fill a new non-profit called LA Makerspace.  A lot of the work I've been doing, and will be building on with students, involves a number of citizen science environmental monitoring projects.  Please check out http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tara/los-angeles-makerspace-a-family-friendly-innovatio and let me know what you think.  We're at the point of expanding our open hours for student usage.
