We are currently piloting the use of balloon mapping for some of our projects and are having a bit of trouble formatting the CHDK the way we would like. We would like our camera (Canon A490) to take a picture every 5 seconds while in continuous mode, but I cannot seem to find out how to program our now-hacked camera to do this.
The CHDK is already loaded onto our SD card but after playing around with the settings and looking online for 3 days, I am unable to figure out the proper settings so that the camera will capture an image every 5 seconds. If anyone could shed some light on this issue, we would be grateful.

Once loaded you can get a menu where you set the time interval. Then
when you turn on the camera each time, you tell it to load that script
and start the program before releasing the camera to the sky.
We don't yet have a general CHDK wiki page (partially because the CHDK
project's wiki is OK) but for the very narrow use case of balloon mapping,
maybe it's worth it. Or at least linking to Chris' video from the balloon
mapping page.

@Jeff,
I was setting up a495s on Saturday and realized that your CHDK-timer.txt is
not linked anywhere in our websites anymore. I had a copy locally and used
that but it would be great to add that back in somewhere

whoa i haven't seen that script for years, it seems. I have no idea where
it is. Want to post it on gist.github.com and we can add it to a new CHDK
wiki page? Cool.
