Subject: Free Thermal Flashlight Workshop in Providence RI May 26th!!

On May 26th in Providence Rhode Island, Public
Lab<http://publiclaboratory.org>is offering a free workshop where
participants can learn about
Do-It-Yourself, open source science and get involved in Public Lab by
making and improving their own Thermal
Flashlights<http://publiclaboratory.org/tool/thermal-photography>!
Thermal Flashlights are low cost tools for creating striking thermal images
(like the one shown below). Public Lab is developing and testing them for
use by communities in home winterization programs. Join us in developing
the tool and new ways it can help address local community environmental
issues.

AS220 <http://www.as220.org/about/about-as220.html>, Providence's amazing
local public forum and home for the arts, is hosting the workshop in
collaboration with Digital+Media at RISD:
http://labs.as220.org/courses/FAB114

No electronics skills are necessary to participate, only an interest in DIY
open source science.  Participants will be able to buy Thermal Flashlights
they build in the workshop at cost. Sign up while there are still spots!

Time: 1-4 pm
Date: May 26th
Location: AS220 Lab's Providence, Rhode Island
