My email notifications look just fine when delivered to a gmail
account but in yahoo mail there are no spaces between paragraphs.
Looks terrible and, believe it or not, some people do still seem to
use yahoo. Is there anything I can do about this?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, try editing the html to add your breaks. Susan http://whalesanddolphinsbc.com

I just assumed that the wordpress wysiwyg was putting them in properly
(is the case in gmail) but it certainly couldn't hurt to try putting
in the <br>'s myself. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers.

It seems to have something to do with the copy and paste from other
sources (word processing etc) that creates the problem. Wish all these
programs would be able to get on the same page, but that's another
story. In the html you should see whether or not the <br> is there or
not, although I have had to add an extra one on the odd page to get it
to look right. Let me know how it works for you. Susan http://whalesanddolphinsbc.com

Unfortunately, adding the code in directly did not solve the issue. I
also tried sending an rss to email notification through FeedMyInbox
(feedburner alternative) to see if it was a feedburner issue and there
was still no spaces between paragraphs in yahoo mail. I've contacted
yahoo and mostly get strange customer service emails back where it
seems that someone is either not reading or understanding the issue.
The problem clearly lies with yahoo. I recommend anyone currently
using their mail service would switch to another provider. In any
case, I'm considering switching to mailchimp. I'm gonna give it a
test run and see how it compares to feedburner. If I could find a way
to get the notifications to look right in yahoo then I'd probably just
stay with feedburner but I'd sure like the appearance to be consistent
across different providers. Thanks for taking a moment to try and
help out. J. yogijbrown.com

I managed to find a solution to this problem.
If anyone comes across this:

1. You have to use Mailchimp instead of feedburner which, after
looking into this, I highly recommend.

2. Create an rss to email campaign in Mailchimp and use whatever
template you want. Make it look the way you want and save it to "my
templates."

3. Go to "My Templates" in dashboard. Export the template you saved.

4. Open the file in an html editor and add:

p{margin-bottom:1em;
}

to the inline css. I put it just after the body {} tag.

Now you'll have some paragraph breaks in yahoo mail.
Cheers.
