Judging by the number of rooms we have, and the number of participants
there's a good chance there will be over 75 sessions at PubCamp this
weekend. In order to help your fellow campers catch up on what they
might miss please do the following if possible:

1) Bring a video camera or audio recorder and plan to capture a least
one session (or more!)
2) Plan to post that to the web/wiki that weekend if possible
3) Shout out in this thread what gear you're bringing if any

I'll start on #3:

-I have 4 MinoHD Flip Cams and a Canon HV20 HD cam up for grabs to use
(I'll be shooting with a Sony PD170 separately). They dead simple to
operate if you haven't used either of them before.

Please reply if you're bringing gear - or if you want dibs on some of
mine :)

I'll have my Macbook laptop, iPhone, OWLE camera mount (it's an image stabilizer and lens mount for the iPhone) and probably a Flipcam if I can find it.

I may actually be able to bring a lot of digital video cameras
(somewhere between 6-8) that are currently being used at the center
where i teach photography. I have no idea how to use them or a tripods
but if they'd be useful, I will look into getting my grubby mitts on
them.

Thoughts?

I think it's a great idea to bring them, though we may want to have a way to check them out that documents who's borrowing them, so we can shame them mercilessly on Twitter if they forget to give them back. (same goes with Peter's equipment.)

I'll bring a Sanyo Xacti video camera, a tripod, and an Epson LCD projector
(I'm not sure if LCD projectors are needed, but I can always leave it in my
car).

I have a Marantz PMD 620 digital audio recorder I'll be toting around to all the reasonably-sized sessions I attend. Whenever possible, I will announce that I am recording. Without a PA, the marantz won't handle large rooms well though.

You're welcome to announce, but the PubCamp charter states all sessions are on the record and should be recorded/documented; we'll remind people about this during the opening session. -andy

As I am without smartphone and, in a karmic snafu, my normally congenial laptop is on the fritz as of Wednesday, I will bring a tube sock, some duct tape, and a bottle of Turmeric for memory.

Hey, it worked for MacGyver...

I'll be bringing a Sony mini disc player and mic. I won't be able to
post what I record to the wiki immediately that weekend, but will get
to it as soon as I'm home again with my Mbox.

I’m impressed by all of the gear we’re going to have, very exciting! I’ll plan to bring 2 or 3 Flip cams.

For those with still cameras – we have a Flickr group that you can submit photos to: http://www.flickr.com/groups/publicmediacamp

I am in the same boat except I will have my laptop and a willingness to pitch in as well.  By the way, who ordered the rain?  I like the temperature though...the Helix is nice too.
