problem accessing gmail, hotmail, and posting to this discussion group

Hello i just tried to use the google dns and i could load all websites
except gmail, hotmail and posting to this disussion group. I tried
yahoo and it loads just fine, i also tried my university's webmail
which is on an exchange server and that worked fine as well. i am
using Mac os x 10.6 safari, i also tried firefox but gmail gets stuck
on the Redirecting stage, it keeps on trying to load but nothing
happens. i had to change the DNS to the default one and clear my
cookies inorder to log in to this discussion page and to gmail. i am
in qatar ISP qtel university is using bluesocket.
