I'm trying to display the data for the World Bank Development
Indicators, and it simply won't load - it just says "loading" and the
graph never appears.

I'm using IE 8, and other websites seem to be loading alright. I have
also tried it on Opera portable and it doesn't work.

Is there a solution to this problem? Has anyone else experienced this?

Sorry that you're experiencing problems. Can you post the URL for the
page that's leading to this error message? Thanks,

Hi,

Its all of the pages actually. It seems to be the entire tool that
isn't working for me. I found it a few months ago and it worked
perfectly.

If it helps, I'm in South Africa, and trying to access the page from a
corporate internet account.

Thanks,

Amy

Hmm, that's not good. Are you sure that you have Adobe Flash installed
on the machine? You can test this by going to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/.
If that's not the problem, then I'll ask the engineering team to look
into this further. Thanks,

Thanks,

It says I have version 10,1,85,3 installed.

Could it have something to do with security settings or cookies? I
don't want to make this into a big deal for you guys if its because of
some security setting on our side.

I have the same issue, it loads fine in FireFox.
Can someone suggest a possible fix.

Flash is installed with the version 10,1,102,64

We've been having trouble reproducing this problem on our test
systems. Can you try loading some visualizations again? If you're
still running into the problem, can you send us your precise IE
version number (found within IE by going to the help menu, then
selecting "About Internet Explorer") and also what flavor of Windows
you're using (e.g., 2000, XP, 7, etc.)? Thanks,

Hi,

I'm using IE 8. The exact version is 8.0.6001.18702. I also tried it
on Opera portable (we don't have Firefox at work, and I'm unable to
install new programs) version 10.53.

I'm using Windows XP Professional service pack 3.

Thanks,

Amy

Thanks for sending the extra information. I think we've figured out
what the problem is, and we're working on a fix. I'll post an update
when that has been pushed out.

I got the same "Loading...." stuck issue. Here's the URL for my
dataset;

http://www.google.com/publicdata/explore?ds=hlch82iojob47_&ctype=c&strail=false&nselm=s&met_y=tweets&hl=en&dl=en

Interestingly, i looked at the JS console in Chrome browser, and it
reported a NullPointerException in Java.

Glad to know you're working on fix. Please keep us posted, hope this
addnl data helps!

I'm having a similar problem when trying to embed two graphs on the
same page. One visualization will load, but the second is stuck on
"Loading..." I've tried reversing the order, and the same data set
still does not load.

The data set is here: http://goo.gl/urJIZ

I am using FF 3.6.3 and IE 8.0.6001.18702

Thanks.

In your case, it appears that the URL for the embed is malformed (it's
missing some additional, required parameters at the end). If you
regenerate the embed code from the UI, that should fix the problem.
Let us know if you run into any other issues. Thanks,

I seem to be having a similar problem. I'm getting errors in the JS
console:

Uncaught java.lang.NullPointerException
explore:2602Uncaught com.google.gwt.event.shared.UmbrellaException:
One or more exceptions caught, see full set in
UmbrellaException#getCauses

Cheers,

What URL are you loading when you get that error? What browser and OS
are you using? That information will help us diagnose the issue.

I took a look, and the problem is that you need a time dimension in your slices. Without this, the Public Data Explorer will be confused because all of the visualizations are time-based. Are your data in time series? If not, then it may be better to use Fusion Tables (http://www.google.com/fusiontables) or another tool that supports non-time-based visualizations as well.

Hope this helps,
