Hi All,

I used <Dsplgen tool> to generate a dataset.xml and table...csv  from my data csv file containing 8 unique Concepts (6 Dimension and 2 Metrics).
With each data row in the CSV file being unique (although some fields values may repeat themselves among the unique rows, such as field1=company_name, field2=year)

From CSV file.
Field1,Field2,Field3,.....Field8
data1, dataA, dataZ,...   dataX
data1, dataA,  dataM,.... dataX
data2, dataB,  dataN,....  dataU
data2, dataC,  dataY,....  dataU

The issue I am trying to understand is why I have to dig into data to find to generate a graph in the explorer.  It looks like since the data does not overlap as much I have to select the dimensions exactly in order for a graph to be be generated.

I was hoping once I supplied the data the explorer would automatically map the data one graph without me having to try to find the specific values.
In other words, I have to reference the data in a specific row then select the appropriate values in the explorer in order to generate a graph.

It would be great if the graph would map all the data then you could just deselect the data you did not want to see rather than having to dig to find the specific data field by field.

Please advise.

Is there something I am not understanding about the data dependencies which require such a narrow selection.

Look forward to guidance on this matter.

Best Regards,
