While it has nothing to do with wireless, this is an inspiring story of an underserved community taking matters into their own hands and building an open provider fiber network operated by a cooperative (I have a hard time feeling sorry for this particular demographic&#39;s current lack of high speed internet options, but that&#39;s a different story)

  Jon, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;The trouble with port forwarding on this particular network is that &lt;br&gt; everyone on it shares a single IP address.   hi, i am a regular user of the mississippi ptp network, and on most &lt;br&gt; days can connect from my home a couple blocks away. i am wondering &lt;br&gt; what ptp policy is for setting up nat or port forwarding (etc) for us &lt;br&gt; normal users to be able to get to our ptp-connected machines from the &lt;br&gt; outside world? &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;obviously there are matters of security to contend with and so forth,

  Most of the ISP&#39;s that we work with track down the alleged user by IP &lt;br&gt; address and are then required to first warn them and then disconnect them. &lt;br&gt; Shutting down the entire network and blaming it on one user is either &lt;br&gt; irresponsible journalism and/or a poorly managed wireless network.
