When I do a spherical panorama, I'm very careful about leveling everything.  But once I throw the images into PTGui and hit Align Images, although it matches up everything, they're all very much out of level.  Looking at the panorama editor, I can see that each image has been tilted.  I can go in and add vertical lines on door frames and wall corners, but is there some option to tell PTGui to trust my leveling abilities?

Un-check Pitch and Roll in the Optimiser tab if your certain there correct and the tripod is perfectly stable ?  Personally I don't worry about levelling as such but just ensure that what ever the level is it remains stable during the shots.

That did work.  Thanks!  Is there a way to default it to unchecked?  I take 15 shots, which means 30 checkboxes to untick.

If you click on the top of the list, it will toggle all the checkboxes.

If you're shooting your 15 images in the same conguration over and
over again, you should use a template to initialize the image and lens
parameters. The optimizer will then have little to do but fine tune
the already good alignment. NB. If using Align Images, you need to
customize exactly what it does via the Project Settings of the
template project file. E.g. you certainly want to uncheck the
"roughly arrange images first" option, as this would undo the template
settings. You can also set whatever optimizer parameters you like.
(This assumes you are using PTGui Pro).

Not on mine.  There are checkboxes for "link roll" "link pitch".  Checking these doesn't affect that.

There's the header.  Clicking on it will highlight the column, but is of no use.

Under that are the checkboxes for the individual images.

It's a double click that's required.

Just make sure that all the settings you prefer are correct ( its well worth setting 10 minutes aside and going thru EVERY menu option and check all settings don't forget to scroll some screens as well!) and then go to the File menu and click on "Make default" all your settings will then be saved for restoration each an every time you start - however be aware that if you use templates then settings in those will of course override any defaults!

Aha!  Thanks, John.

And thank you, Geoff.  As time goes by, I'll be playing with a lot of the options to determine what does what.

And there's another way to quickly select multiple checkboxes:

Click on the first of the checkboxes, then hold Shift+Cursor Down to
select multiple. Then press the space bar to toggle.
