Align to Grid / Gigapan

508 images, Gigapan Epic Pro.

Imported images ->align to grid ->22x23 grip, 40% overlap

Preview looks decent.

Hit "Align Images" - Can't even describe the results, so I uploaded a
screen grab:

As expected, the sky images are orphaned. There are also over 560
"clusters". Some images were linked, but the distance is between 1000
and 3100.

Any suggestions?

Rick, Looks like the lens parameters may have been evaluated to
bizarre values. I would use known parameters from a previous
successful stitch or calibration exercise and exclude these from the
parameters being optimized.

Hi - started from scratch - same results. Lens was correct at 200mm, 1.63
crop factor at start and finish. Same that I always use!

Hi Rick,

Could you make your project file available? Please post both the project
file after Align to Grid and after Align Images.

Sure - where do you want it? I restarted the project. The next time around
the results were worse - but the lens was funky. Manually set it to 200mm.
The stitch was better, but still unusable. The building is there, but many
images are misplaced, mismatched, etc. Still had over 500 unmatched image
pairs.
