My first try of ptgui pro, hdr pano, and I do NOT get the "asks whether we want to link the bracketed images" window,
or any window.
I have 2 shot brackets of 3 shot pano = 6 images in "align".   It just seems to use the darker set and makes a pano. Now what?  Thanks.

If you have bracket shot u will want to link them if they r shot on a tripod, if handheld then don't link them.

I don't have the non-pro version, so if you have HDR / fusion then go to that tap once you are happy with the orientation and placement of the pano in the viewer, you can drag your edges into the pano to define the crop. Then it's off to the HDR/fusion and pick your poison :-)

This is a very simplified explanation :-) there are guys here who does magic with this program, hopefully they will chip in and give you a proper explanation

Good luck and welcome

well see, that's the problem.  I dont get that box "dont link", and thus the hdr process never gets started.

Steve, The invitation to link the images will only be given when your sets of images were taken with identical exposure settings.  See FAQ: http://www.ptgui.com/support.html#6_3

The non-Pro version doesn't support HDR:
http://www.ptgui.com/features.html

In that case and if you shot from a tripod stitch the best exposure set
and use the project file as a template for the other exposer steps.

Another possibility is to HDR merge the image prior to stitching. If you
shot handheld you need to align them first. If you used a fisheye,
http://wiki.panotools.org/Batch_merge_handheld_images might be interesting.
