Using 9.0b2 on WinVista32 to stitch a 7-shot spherical pano from tiffs
created by enfuse...

Drew a red mask to limit the nadir image to the needed region. It is
recorded in the .pts and is visibly effective on both panorama view
window and preview stitch; but in final high-res stitch it was clearly
ignored, same result both batch and in-process.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this expected?

Tom, You're using the PTGui blender, of course? Increasing the blend
priority of the nadir might make a difference, but really you should
get what's shown in the Panorama Editor window.

I have a suspicion but my tests on Mac does not confirm it.

You say you use Enfuse. Enfuse creates an empty Alpha1 mask.
If you make a mask in Photoshop and just save it you will get an
Alpha2 mask which is just ignored.
So my suspicion was that the PTGui mask would work the same way.

However my test on Mac works fine. Maybe it is a Win only bug.
BTW CS5 reads the image with the Enfuse Alpha mask as a layer and
there is no channel for the mask.

I did a test on Win 7 with enfused images and that worked fine too.

There is a bug in the current beta which causes masks to randomly
disappear as soon they are swapped to disk due to increased memory
usage. This will be fixed in the next update.

Also, green masks only work with the PTGui blender. Red masks work in
external blenders too.
