hey everyone, so i just uploaded the latest alpha of PSPSeq 3.00. you
can grab it here:
http://dspmusic.org/psp/PSPSeq300-alpha3.zip
the big thing i added to this version is per-step pan. every other
version has configurable pan, but it is fixed across all steps in a
track. now you can set pan to whatever you want for any step. pan is
still accessible from the sequencer screen. if you hold circle and
press a-pad/d-pad left or right it changes pan for that particular
step. if you also hold R-trigger that syncs the pan parameter for all
steps in the loop (but doesn't change PAN for any other loops). pan
can also be modified in the ENV menu like any other synth parameter.
any SEQs saved in alpha1 or alpha2 won't load in alpha3.
i think there are two other small changes over alpha-2:
1. CLEAR TRACK has configurable start/end points so you can clear a
subset of steps in a track rather than only the whole thing.
2. SHIFT TRACK can either move sequencer data from one place to
another (the old way of working) or can perform a virtual copy/paste
of parameters, keeping the original steps where they were. one way
this can be used is to create copies of a multistep sound in a loop
(ie a triggered step and a bunch of non-triggered steps).
i think that's about it. this will probably be the last alpha release
for a bit as the last few features for 3.00 are quite complicated to
implement. however, i'd love to know what you think of the new
features and if you find any bugs. thanks everyone!
