That fix has been posted ever since Google introduced the "always use
https" option, and unless the current problem is Google suddenly
requiring SSL sessions it has no relevance whatsoever. I assume that it
was easier to post that than to actually implement SSL support in Gsync...
On the other hand, if the problem IS Google now requiring SSL I can
understand why the fix is late. That would mean a major rewrite of the
code, and lots of testing. It is, however, no excuse for Psiloc to keep
us uninformed about the progress.

As of today, SSL is now the default for GMail. I really hope that the
next version of Gsync will support it...
