District Committee Meeting

A reminder to all Chartered Organization Representatives that District Committee Meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1, 7:00pm at the Provo Library, Room 309.

During the meeting, the packets for Rechartering will be handed out to each unit. There will also be training provided on how to use the Internet Renewal Process for Rechartering. Provo District Public Relations Committee

We have been informed by the Utah National Parks Council that they have changed the format for our District Website. Thus, if you go to utahscouts.org/districts/provo you will find a message that says, "The page you requested cannot be found." We are waiting for the Council to give us access to our new website so it can be updated. As soon as the website has been updated, we will forward our new district website address and information to you. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Eagle Counselor Training

Rechartering

Each year in October, all Scouting units must renew their charters. This "re-chartering" is done through the Internet. We will be handing out the re-chartering packets and providing training on how to use the Internet-based system on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Provo City Library, Room 309. We would like to have the person that will be doing your ward's rechartering in attendance to pick up their packet and to learn how to use the Internet system.

North Star Training
September 26 & 27 will be held at Buck Hollow (up left hand fork of Hobble Creek where Adventure Park is held) It begins Friday at 6 PM and goes through Saturday evening about 6 PM. Cost is $25 per person.

Boy Scouts Needed as Extras in Upcoming Movie

As you may know, a local film crew is filming a movie that will be entitled “Scout Camp” at Camp Maple Dell over the next two weeks. They are looking for Scouts ages 12 to 16 years of age who have a boy scout uniform and want to be part of this exciting opportunity.
