Hi folks,

Tobie just told me that 1.6.0.3 is out:
http://www.prototypejs.org/download

Just thought I'd mention it for anyone who (like me) missed it.

Congrats and thanks to all of the contributors who did this work for
us!!

Is there a list of changes anywhere for what's fixed/new/changed etc?

I've been using the git-version for some time and it had the
dom:loaded fixed among other things.
Seems like this 1.6.0.3 release doesn't have it, what's up with that?
The git version seems to be better.
Perhaps this release is missing other things as well didn't have the
time to read/test it all yet.

Regards,
Nick

Hi again,

Just to clarify, given the state of the trunk we had to make the
(difficult) decision to revert it to a more stable version.

Andrew promised to write a post about this today (TAE permitting).

So you should hear more about this very soon.

Best,

Tobie

Wow that's quite the list of changes guys, thanks so much. Looking
forward to trying this out.

One quick question, a while back I had integrated a diff from a
prototype contributor (kangax I believe) to fix a problem in IE with
dom:loaded getting fired prematurely. This diff affected the method
fireContentLoadedEvent only, and by comparing my 1.6.0.2 version to
the released 1.6.0.2 version, and also comparing with the new 1.6.0.3
version, I can see that the fireContentLoadedEvent has mostly remained
unchanged, meaning that I will potentially re-introduce bugs into my
application if I upgrade. Is this a valid assumption or am I just
missing something here?

Thanks again for all your work on this guys!

Yes, many changes from the earlier trunk did not make its way into
1.6.0.3
Some of them are going into 1.6.0.4 which is the next release.
