Parse URL into parts

I need to parse URL into parts, including domain, folders, page name, and querystring.  I'd like a nice object to work with when parsed.  Any suggestions to existing code out there?

I just finished writing some code for this, but it us php.

I'm using effect.appear. When I use it with an <img>, it works fine. I swapped the <img> for a php includes statement. That doesn't work.

Should this work?
