NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP
Thanks to Sandy Washburn’s hard work, Prospect Hill received a grant for a neighborhood clean up. The date is May 18 from 9-1 pm. Volunteers will be needed at the drop off site from 8:30 to 2pm. HAND will provide the dumpsters, Hazmat, chipper service, tire disposal capabilities, and safety vests. Details are still being worked out- but mark your calendar so you can volunteer and start gathering any items that you no longer need.
COLLABORATIVE RAISED GARDEN
Are you interested in designing, creating, planting and harvesting several
raised garden beds? If so contact Mary

WonderLab's Science of Art Activities
Enjoy half-price museum admission ($3.50) as you explore the connections between art and science during WonderLab's First Friday Evening Science of Art: Extreme Knitting on April 5! The evening program will feature Bloomington artist Althea Crome, who will demonstrate how she knits amazingly intricate work on a miniature scale. Ms. Crome is nationally known for her small-scale creations for Coraline, the 2009 animated 3D film. Related visitor activities will be on a larger scale and will not involve needles. Visitors will be challenged to knit pieces using their arms, or just their fingers, taking the place of knitting needles. The activities are recommended for all ages and are included with museum admission. A small plate meal of macaroni and cheese, sugar snap peas and whole wheat bread, freshly prepared by Bloomingfoods, will be available to purchase ($2.50) on site in the WonderLab cafe.
